There is something about this year – call it a challenge, a decluttering, or just a reorganizing. I have tried my hardest this Christmas to use what I already have. Now, I am not a minimalist by any means – you can see the evidence in my closet with my shoe collection – but something has sparked my creativity by figuring out ways to use what I already have.
As we were thinking about our annual science ornament – check out the past year’s ornaments here – we decide to use my inventory of science supplies which for some reason includes a LOT of UV beads that also happen to glow in the dark.
I saw this post, used our science cookie cutters, cranked the oven to 425 degrees, and made some pretty unique ornaments this year.
We got to use what we already had on hand and the kids got to watch plastic melt in the oven! As my kids like to say, melting plastic was very “satisfying.” 😉 Who says Christmas has to be costly or complicated? Spark your creativity this year by using what you’ve got. Have fun and Merry Christmas!
