We are getting ready for some serious snow here in Texas tomorrow (3-5″) and now that the pipes have been wrapped and the food rations have bought – it is now time to figure out what science experiments we are going to try in this epic Texas cold weather!! Here are a few that we are prepared to do!
- How Much Water is in Snow (by KCAdventures.com) We are going to see just how much water is in snow with this simple experiment.
- Self Inflating and Self Deflating Balloon (Wordfinder.com) Can you really kill a balloon with cold air and bring it back to life bringing it back inside? I guess we are going to find out.
- Frozen Solid Bubbles (mkewithkids.com) An oldie but a goodie! A good friend of mine tried this in Pennsylvania – and I want to try it out too!
- Maple Syrup Snow Candy (mkewithkids.com) Why not? 🍭
- Turn a Banana into a Hammer (bustle.com) Well… why not? 🍌
- Frozen Cup Rivalry (SheLovesScience.com) This is a great one to see who wins the freeze contest? Saltwater or freshwater?
We will be reporting back our findings on Instagram stories! I already “snow” we’re going to love it! ❄️😉
